These Terms and Conditions apply to services booked or registered for via bauersachs.hebamio.de. They cover courses, midwifery services and private self-pay services such as massage, bodywork, individual consultations/coaching and Prenatal³.
If a separate agreement or contract applies to a particular service, the terms of that agreement take priority.
A course place or individual appointment is considered firmly reserved once the booking or registration has been confirmed.
The location, scope, price and format of the service are stated in the relevant service description, booking confirmation or individual agreement.
For individual services, further appointments may also be arranged by phone or in person. Once agreed, these appointments are considered binding.
Fees are based on the price stated at the time of booking or on the price agreed individually.
Private course fees and partner fees must be paid within five working days of receiving the invoice, unless stated otherwise.
Massage and bodywork sessions are usually invoiced after the appointment and must be paid within five working days.
Coaching, Prenatal³ and pre-arranged appointment packages are usually paid in advance.
Services covered by German statutory health insurance (gesetzliche Krankenkasse) are billed directly to the health insurance provider where applicable and in accordance with the relevant regulations.
Clients with private health insurance (private Krankenversicherung) and self-paying clients are responsible for checking whether their insurance will reimburse the cost of a service. Reimbursement by an insurance provider does not affect the client’s obligation to pay the agreed fee.
A course booking may be cancelled up to four weeks before the course begins, unless different terms have been agreed for that particular course.
For later cancellations, the terms of the relevant course or participation agreement apply. If there is no separate agreement and the course is privately paid, a financial loss may be charged if the place cannot be filled by another participant.
If a course has to be cancelled due to insufficient participant numbers, any private fees already paid will be refunded. If the course is moved to a different date, the booking may be cancelled free of charge within five working days after notification.
Photos, video recordings and audio recordings during a course are not permitted without the consent of the course instructor and any participants concerned.
Appointments for massage, bodywork, coaching, Prenatal³ and other individually arranged services are reserved exclusively for the individual client or couple.
Individual appointments may be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time.
In the event of a later cancellation or non-attendance, the agreed fee may be charged if the appointment could not be filled by another client. Any expenses saved as a result of the cancellation will be taken into account. The client may provide evidence that no financial loss, or a significantly smaller financial loss, was incurred.
Before the session, clients must inform the midwife of any health conditions or circumstances that may be relevant to providing the service safely. These include in particular:
use of blood-thinning medication, including aspirin/ASS
current or previous thrombosis
glaucoma or increased intraocular pressure
cardiovascular conditions
suspected contagious illness
other acute changes in health
If there are concerns about whether the session can be carried out safely, the service may be adapted, stopped or postponed. Medical assessment may be recommended beforehand if appropriate.
Olive oil is normally used for massage. Please inform the midwife in advance of any allergy, intolerance or dislike of the oil. A suitable personal massage oil may be brought after prior agreement.
The intensity and manner of the massage or bodywork are adapted individually. The session can be changed, paused or stopped at any time at the client’s request.
The content, scope and number of appointments are agreed individually.
These services provide information, consultation, preparation and support within the agreed area.
Issues requiring further medical, psychological/psychotherapeutic or other specialist assessment are not part of the coaching service and, where appropriate, the client will be advised to seek suitable professional support.
Appointments and course sessions may occasionally need to be moved for important reasons, for example illness or an urgent professional commitment.
If a privately paid service cannot be provided and no suitable replacement appointment can be arranged, any payment already made for that service will be refunded.
The midwife is liable in accordance with German law.
Any person who causes damage to the premises, furniture, equipment or materials through their own fault is responsible for that damage in accordance with the applicable law.
Personal and health-related information is processed only where necessary for the organisation, provision, documentation and billing of the relevant service, or where required by law.

Where a statutory right of withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht) applies to a contract, this right remains unaffected by these Terms and Conditions.
Detailed service descriptions, prices, information about the right of withdrawal and, where applicable, the statutory model withdrawal form (Muster-Widerrufsformular) for privately paid services can be found at www.hebammekat.de.
If any individual provision of these Terms and Conditions is or becomes invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected.
